The 5th KPMC was held in Changwon of Korea during Oct. 22-27.(only tournament: 23-24)

69 players participated as the representatives of their countries, and Lee Sanghun 7D of Korea won the tournament by winning 7 straight games. Korea has won this Cup for four times including this year (1st, 2nd, and 4th), and Taiwan won the third Cup. Unfortunately the strong favorite China could not win this cup for once.

The winner of the 5th KPMC is awarded 2 Million Won (approx. $1,800), and KPMC provided flights and accommodations to all the participants.

The 5th Korea Prime Minister Cup World Babuk Championship is managed by Korea Amateur Baduk Association and sponsored by Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, Korea Sports Promotion Foundation, Korean Olympic Committee, Gyeongsangnam province, Changwon City, GS Caltex, and Korean Air.
